Blues Etudes – Position 2: “G Shape”

In this second installment we look at some typical idiomatic phrases that help you build lines, as well as spicing up your melodic ideas with outsdie notes. We’ll also look at using the half-whole diminished scale in the I – IV chord change.

This is the point of this etude series; learn each of the five positions fluently. In the end, you will have a far better understanding of the whole fretboard.
