JDM Pedals "VINDICATOR" Germanium Fuzz/Boost Guitar Effect Pedal. Handwired, Unstoppable Tone!
-
he JDM Pedals “Cascade Tremolo” is not just a simple tremolo, but more of an “amp-in-a-box” type pedal, giving you sounds very much like a Fender Princeton Amp, or other vintage tube combo with tremolo. We’ve designed the pedal to be VERY reactive to your playing. Not only do the cascaded MOSFET preamp stages provide a tube-like sensitivity to your playing dynamics, the tremolo also reacts dynamically - crank it and hit a chord and the tremolo “ducks” the chord before swelling up again, letting rhythm parts come clear when you dig in. Pick lighter, and the tremolo comes through- this is JUST the way the great old tube combos “feel” when you play. The master volume and double-speed switch make possible a wider range of overdrive sounds and tremolo effects than a vintage amp can do, especially at modest volumes! Our pedals are hand-assembled, feature true bypass, and use top quality components throughout. The MOSFET preamp and output stages provide high input impedance and low output impedance, keeping the tone clear and present even with long cable runs.

JDM Pedals "Blue Dream" is a boutique and much improved version of the famous (and hard to find) Ibanez ST-9. We've included a bass control, passive treble control for smoother highs, and a scream/dream switch (optional) for a lower gain and more transparent drive. You're gonna NEED this pedal. I'm glad I build them, because I need...

The Green Meanie is a Muff-style distortion featuring a switchable lo/high (Green/Mean) gain switch, as well as additional density and mid controls to tweak your tone to fit your rig and personal taste in Muffs. We all like our Muff a certain way...

The JDM Pedals "Hot Plate" Mk3 Style Germanium Fuzz is a true-to-vintage tip of the hat to the Tonebender MKIII. We've taken it to the next level with a passive mid-bump switch to enhance the tone in a mix thick with drums, keys, and vocals competing for midrange space. The JDM Hot Plate uses vintage PNP Germanium transistors, but we've also added an analog voltage inverter on-board so you can daisy chain this fuzz with your other pedals running on +9vDC. Battery power is also possible, of course.

JDM pedals is now offering customizable Germanium Rangemaster-style boost pedals starting at $89 incl. shipping. The basic feature set is the "boost" control (naturally), and the "Range" control (taken from our JDM Tonemaster "EQ" control) which varies from a chunky, full range boost to a classic treble boost. The really cool part is you pick your OC series vintage transistor - the finesse of an OC71? The Classic OC75? The crunchy OC44? We also have OC72, OC83, OC602, and OC602 in stock. Email for a full list of what else might be currently in stock. The pedals are built battery-only, no power supply connection. Batteries will last YEARS in one of these as long as you disconnect the input cable when not in use (this disconnects the battery). We can add an optional power supply jack, but this circuit is the classic Rangemaster-style, and cannot be daisy-chained with other negative-ground pedals, it is positive ground. Trust us, battery is enough, and sounds best. For an additional $15 we can add a 3-way top-cut switch (pictured above). This allows you to shave off some of the highest frequencies, which can sound a bit "harsh" or "brittle" depending on your amp/speakers. It's a 3-position switch with center off. The other two positions we set to "just take off the edge" in one position (can help cut hiss or interference if you experience it at a gig). The second cut "warms up" the tone, just right for brighter American amps (Fender, Boogie...). Alternately, we can set the cut to go deeper, creating a prominent mid boost. You let us know, we customize.

The JDM Pedals "Red Roaster" Germanium Overdrive is a no-compromise path to classic overdriven-amp tones. The Red Roaster toasts your tone by hitting a Germanium gain stage with a classic Rangemaster-style treble boost. The EQ is a passive, MOSFET driven stage - no IC's - and adds to the amp-like breakup before rounding out the recipe with yet another Germanium transistor. This is pure vintage tone, from creamy & smooth to rude & nasty.
